PPCL Announces Process Improvement Class

Week long course leverages revolutionary geometric process control to optimize plant performance

ppcl logoPPCL, a leading process industry technology and management consultancy business, has announced plans to run an intensive five-day course on 1-5 December 2014 in London, United Kingdom utilizing the firm’s revolutionary geometric process control technology.

Designed by PPCL customers and consultants, the course will equip delegates to continually improve processes using geometric process control technology. By inviting attendees to bring their own plant data for analysis sets, the PPCL team will furnish delegates with the knowledge and expertise to make tangible improvements to their plant operations upon completion of the training.  Comprising lectures, live demonstrations and application directed tutorials, the series of workshops will also provide unlimited access to PPCL’s expert consultants.

Dr Robin Brooks, Managing Director, PPCL commented: “We’re looking forward to bringing the type of work we and our customers perform out in the field under one roof.  It’s a unique and cost effective opportunity for delegates to spend a week applying our geometric process control software, CVE, and visualising plant data in a completely new way, while simultaneously accessing our group of process plant experts.

“Whether it’s alarm management, plant bottlenecks or equipment failure, this class will allow delegates to define and visualise their challenges and then apply optimum process operating envelopes to ensure normal and fault-free behaviour.  Delegates will be able to return to their organisations and improve their processes immediately increasing throughput and productivity.”

About PPCL

Founded in 1994, Process Plant Computing Limited (PPCL) is the brainchild of world-renowned process optimisation expert and chemical engineer, Dr Robin Brooks.  After many years studying multi-dimensional geometry and parallel coordinate transformation, Dr Brooks is applying his research to improve the business efficiency of process plants worldwide.

The result is innovative end-user applications based on unique Geometric Process Control (GPC) technology.  By integrating process control, quality control and process alarms, PPCL is delivering an industry-first general method of calculating values for alarm limits and alerts. Today, PPCL solutions used the world over as a driving force for tightly controlled processes that deliver value directly to the bottom line.
